Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Deron Williams poured in 29 points and doled out 14 assists as the Utah Jazz survived a late surge and downed the Los Angeles Lakers, 123-115, in overtime to knot their Western Conference semifinal series at two games apiece. Kobe Bryant scored 33 points had 10 assists and eight rebounds, but was hampered by a back injury and struggled from the field, shooting 13-for-33 and 1-for-10 from beyond the arc. Mehmet Okur scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Utah, and Andrei Kirilenko added 15 points. Carlos Boozer ended with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Kyle Korver scored 14 points off the bench for the Jazz. Utah finished the game 37-of-45 at the foul line. Lamar Odom had 26 points and 13 rebounds, and Pau Gasol added 23 points and 10 boards for the Lakers, who won their first six playoff games, but will head back to LA after consecutive losses in Salt Lake City, where the Jazz are 41-5 in the regular season and playoffs. Derek Fisher scored 15 points off the bench, including 10 straight in the fourth quarter to lead the LA comeback. Game 5 of this best-of-seven series is scheduled for Wednesday at the Staples Center. Bryant said he should be fine to play in the next contest.

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Maxime Talbot scored the go-ahead goal 8:51 into the third period, as the Pittsburgh Penguins topped the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-2, in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals. Talbot returned to the lineup after missing the last three games due to a broken right foot. Sidney Crosby finished with a goal and an assist for the Penguins, who took a 2-0 series lead and can increase the advantage in the third contest, set for Tuesday in Philadelphia. Marian Hossa and Jordan Staal also scored for the Penguins. Sergei Gonchar finished with three assists, while Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 30-of-32 shots in the victory for Pittsburgh, which has won 15 consecutive home games and is a perfect 7-0 in the playoffs so far at Mellon Arena. Jeff Carter scored, and Mike Richards added a shorthanded tally for the Flyers, who also lost Game 1 by a 4-2 score. Martin Biron faced 37 shots, and stopped 34 of them. Philadelphia was already playing without star defenseman Kimmo Timonen, who is out for the entire series with a blood clot, but also lost blue-liner Braydon Coburn less than two minutes of the game. He was hit in the face with a puck and did not return.

St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - Carl Crawford blasted the go-ahead three-run homer in the sixth inning, and the Tampa Bay Rays used 15 hits to beat the Angels, 8-5, completing a three-game weekend sweep. Crawford had three hits and stole two bases, while Akinori Iwamura went 3-for-5 and scored twice for the Rays. Cliff Floyd had two RBI in his first action since coming off the disabled list on Friday. Rays starter Andy Sonnanstine went five innings, surrendering five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three. J.P. Howell (2-0) came on to pitch three strong innings, retiring seven straight and nine of 10 to secure the win. Tampa Bay extended its franchise-record nine-game winning streak at home and has won four straight overall. Torii Hunter had three hits and drove in two runs for the Angels. Los Angeles starter Ervin Santana lasted 5 2/3 innings, allowing five runs on nine hits and one walk. He did strike out seven and left with a one-run lead, but remained at 6-0 on the season. The Angels have dropped four straight, their longest slide since dropping six in a row, April 12-18, 2007. Tampa Bay erased the Halo's 5-4 lead with a four-run sixth off Justin Speier (0-3).
